Shea has had a very busy summer and has lots of plans for the coming months - here are a few of the things she will be doing:

 

Take me out to the ball game!

 

September 14th-Yankee Stadium-Shea is throwing out the first pitch .
Game time is 7:05 pm - how to see you there!

 

Marvelous Mercer - Book 3

Shea's third Marvelous Mercer book, All Paws on Deck, will be available in October. There will be a book signing launch at FAO SCHWARZ, in New York City - more details to follow!

.Shea is currently writing her fourth book. Proceeds from all her books help support Spinal Muscular Atrophy research, and Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that provides highly trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge.

Humanitarian of the Year!

November 18th-Hearts and Heroes Gala- Shea is being honored as
Humanitarian of the Year for her contributions to Canine Companions.
It is by invitation of the Steinbrenner Family that owns the Yankees.
It is a VIP event with the team and private tours of the new stadium,
and a dinner in the private team dining hall.

Literacy Program

We are starting a literacy program, in partnership with the NY Yankee's baseball team. Shea will be visiting schools in Harlem. Accompanying Shea will be a player from the Yankees...More details to follow.
