How
You Can Be Involved
There
are many, many ways that you and your family can get involved in this worthwhile
cause but the most important way is with your MOUTH - We need everyone to spread
the word and come Walk on Sunday, April 24th. Girl
Scout/Cub Scouts - this is a great event you can participate in as a pack
- maybe even possibly earning a badge, but certainly your group can participate
together and have a great time. Sponsors
- Many companies have matching donation programs. Check with your company to see
if you qualify as this is an easy way to increase our revenue for research of
SMA. Are you involved in a Book Club, Bowling
Club, or Church/Bible Study Group? Have your group come participate in the
Walk as this is a great way to get involved in the community and meet some new
people while raising money for a good cause. And it's tax deductible. Do
you play poker for fun or are you in a Bunko Group? Consider donating the
winnings of your night of fun to the Shea Megale Fund Corporation. No
spare time but still want to help? If you want to help but just have too many
other commitments, consider donating supplies. We are always in need of reams
of paper for flyers, poster board and art supplies. Do
you own a restaurant or business? Considering donating a percentage of your
profits to the cause for a tax benefit. Have a barbecue or gathering in which
the goal of the event is to raise money for SMA. Donations
can be sent and made payable to: The Shea Megale Fund Corporation c/o
6302 Rockbridge Place Centreville, VA 20120 By
and far, the most important way you can become involved is to Walk with us on
April 24th - Keep your eyes and ears open for new and inventive ways to help us
raise funds to find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Together, we can make
a difference. Questions? Please contact the Walk director, Mo
